Creating A Custom LHP Product CD

In three simple steps, you can create a customized CD with images, descriptions, specifications, features, and literature for every product offered by Lennox Hearth Products.

Step 1

Download the files by clicking on a link below. Once you choose a product category, you will be given the option to either "open the files" or "save them to your computer." Be sure to save the files in a location on your computer where you can easily find them later (i.e. My Documents/Product CD).

NOTE: You can view the information manually any time without creating a CD.

Step 2

Extract the files from the "zipped" folder. The folder will be downloaded as a "zipped", or compressed file and will need to be "unzipped." There are a couple of ways to do this:

  • If you are a Microsoft Windows user you may have already have a "zip" program installed on your machine. To "unzip" the files, "right-click" the downloaded folder and choose "Extract All." Follow all of the steps in the file extraction wizard.
  • If you do not already have a "zip" program installed on your computer, you can download a free version of WinZip, one of the most commonly used "zip" programs available. Follow the directions to install the program.

Step 3

Create a CD by inserting a CD-RW disc into your disc drive. A dialog box will appear asking what you would like to do with the CD. Select the CD writing program of your choice. With the CD writing program open, drag all of the files inside of the zip file into your program window. Once all of the files have been selected, you can "burn" the CD.

Note: As mentioned above, the product information can be viewed manually without creating a CD.

Using the CD

To use the CD, please close any open Internet browsers. Once the CD has been created, you must eject the CD and reinsert the disc into your disc drive. The product information should display automatically. If the CD does not auto-play, navigate to "My Computer" and double-click on the CD icon. Once the CD auto-plays, you should see what looks like a typical website home page. At this point, you can browse through the information.

View Product Information Manually

To view the product information without creating a CD, navigate to the "launchCD.html" file and double-click. This file will automatically display the product information in your default Internet browser.
